- He is the physical image of and one essence with the Father. He is co-creator and sustainer of all things.
(John 1:1-3; John 1:18; Colossians 2:9) - He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
(Luke 1:34-35) - He was tempted as we are tempted, yet was without sin, uniquely qualifying Him to be the perfect, sinless sacrifice for the sins of mankind.
(Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 3:18a; 1 John 3:5b) - He was crucified, taking the sins of the world upon Himself, and having died, was buried and, on the third day, He rose again.
(Luke 23:33a; Luke 23:52-53; Luke 24:1-6a; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4) - After His resurrection and being seen alive, He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.
(1 Corinthians 15:5b-6a; Acts 1:9-11; Ephesians 1:20b-21a; Matthew 25:31-32; 2 Timothy 4:1) - He is the only way to salvation through His sacrifice on the cross.
